MEO represents New Zealand at The Dubai Expo. ‘Connecting Minds, Creating the Future’

With participation from 191 nations, Expo 2020 Dubai is the first World Expo to be held in the Middle East, Africa or South Asia region. From October 2021 to March 2022, the participating nations celebrate their economic, scientific and industrial achievements with national pavilions, under this year’s theme of “Connecting Minds, Creating the Future”.

New Zealand has a long history of participation in World Expos. This year’s Expo is set to bring an economic benefit to New Zealand through an increase in exports to new and existing markets, increased investment plus growth in tourists and international students.

New Zealand aims to showcase its values, innovation and creativity to the world with its theme, Care for People and Place. The theme is based on the indigenous environmental ethos of kaitiakitanga and reflects New Zealand’s role as guardians across all they do and create.

At the Expo, New Zealand brands will be able to organise product launches, demonstrations, a food and beverage sampling experience, host stakeholders for lunch, dinner or cocktail receptions, hold meetings, multimedia presentations or seminars and organize marketing activations and events in its state of the art, Pavillion. Located in the Sustainability District of the Expo 2020 Dubai site, the pavilion was designed by Jasmax architects and the pavilion’s visitor experience is led by Haumi (Karl Johnstone), Workshop e and Ngā Tāngata Tiaki o Whanganui.

New Zealand’s entertainment and cultural programme is curated by world-renowned choreographer and performer Parris Goebel. The programme of events showcases a range of performers and creators from across New Zealand, with a focus on youth, Māori and Pasifika talent.

Expo 2020 Dubai’s theme weeks, which will run across the six-month event, will each focus on pressing issues, global trends and innovations.

The theme weeks will cover Space, Water, Climate and Biodiversity, Urban and Rural Development, Tolerance and Inclusivity, the Golden Jubilee (humanitarianism, environment, sustainability), Knowledge and Learning, Travel and Connectivity, Health and Wellness, Global Goals and Food, Agriculture and Livelihoods.

MEO at the Dubai Expo

A perfect platform for a brand that is designed using New Zealand’s best qualities, the Dubai Expo offers MEO a global stage to introduce the most innovative air-filtering face mask to the world.

MEO face masks were created with the aim to contribute to a healthier world. Our vision is to disrupt the face mask industry with the best anti-pollution face mask. We wanted to create a practical yet fashionable face mask for the global consumer, and ultimately, our goal is to give access to clean, breathable air to everyone.

What better place to showcase our range and tell our New Zealand inspired brand story than in front of a global audience of business and government leaders at the Dubai Expo.

As a globally successful New Zealand brand, MEO is part of the Care Collective, which supports New Zealand’s theme of Care for People and Place and aims to further enhance the idea that New Zealand is good for the world.

In the Care Collective, MEO is in the esteemed company of other iconic New Zealand brands like Fonterra, Comvita, Zespri, Air New Zealand, Città, Gallagher, Rodd & Gunn, Sistema, and others.
